부산도시공사-민간사업자 협약 체결

(부산=연합뉴스) 신정훈 기자 = 117층짜리 초대형 복합관광타운 건립을 주 내용으로 하는 `부산 해운대 관광 리조트 개발사업'이 부산도시공사와 민간사업자로 선정된 `트리플 스퀘어(Triple Square) 컨소시엄'간 사업시행협약 체결을 계기로 공식적으로 시작된다.

16일 부산도시공사에 따르면 지난달 2일 민간사업자로 선정한 트리플 스퀘어 컨소시엄과 `사업시행협약'을 18일 체결할 예정이다.

협약이 체결되면 컨소시엄 측은 다음 주까지 토지매매대금(1천350억원)의 5%에 해당하는 70억원 규모의 금융기관 이행보증서를 도시공사에 제출하고 내년 초 사업시행을 위한 특수목적법인(SPC) 설립과 토지매매계약 체결 등 본격적인 사업 추진에 나서게 된다.

부산도시공사도 사업시행협약에 따라 내년 12월 착공을 목표로 내년 8월까지 실시계획 인가 취득 등 행정적 절차를 마무리할 계획이다.

트리플 스퀘어 컨소시엄은 부산 해운대구 중1동 해운대해수욕장 옛 군(軍) 탄약창 부지 5만여㎡에 총 1조5천400억원을 투입해 전체 면적 58만4천㎡에 최고 높이 511m의 117층짜리 리조트를 건설할 계획이다.

이 초대형 리조트에는 호텔과 콘도미니엄, 실내외 워터 파크, 해양동물쇼장, 4차원 체험관 등 사계절 복합관광시설이 들어선다.

컨소시엄에는 청안건설㈜을 주간사로 롯데, 현대, 쌍용, 한진중공업 등 국내 굴지의 1군 건설업체들이 시공사로 대거 참여하며, 한국산업은행.하나은행.부산은행.경남은행 등이 재무적 투자자로 참여해 자금을 뒷받침한다.

부산도시공사는 "해운대 관광 리조트 사업은 해운대 관광특구의 관광 인프라 구축, 지역경제 및 관광산업 활성화를 목적으로 하고 있다"며 "차질없는 사업 추진을 통해 `글로벌 해양도시 부산'을 상징하는 랜드마크가 되도록 할 것"이라고 밝혔다.

Incredible project (the original one)! I've never seen a 30-story building standing in mid air, just being supported on the two sides, with nothing on the bottom to absorb the weight; that's a lot of pressure being put on the two taller buildings' sides! Magrite and Dali could've found that project interesting... if they were still alive.
