I'm really liking it.

Some people won't adore this design but at least it demonstrates some creativity.

Very creative use of a historic site. Not sure I like the design myself but it is certainly cutting edge and eyecatching!

I truly like it! Bochum will participate a lot of this tower - it's unique and modern, combining with something old and somehow creepy. I don't understand the commotion of Bochums' townsmen caused by the plans - the area around is just disturbing. This building could change a lot, please build it!

By the by, I've found some additional renders of the Exzenterhaus at the German DAF:

A cityscape (made by konny, I hope I'm allowed to post it myself here )

An aerial pic of the surroundings

It's really cute! I don't like the lower concrete shaft, will there be any cladding?

I don't like the concrete either. And it doesn't really fit.

I think it looks great, a cutting edge design, but it seems that EUropean provincial cities seem to get quality architecture whereas our British cities seem to get lots of quantity, poor quality!!! I like the contrast between Glass and Concrete here!!!

In a city that has a huge car manufacturing plant (Opelwerk 1), a building that looks like a camshaft is very fitting. This assumes that the car plant isn't shut down of course.

I like it!
Although I think it would've looked better with a base that looks the same as the rest of the tower, I like the fact that it preserves a bit of history. A bomb shelther isn't the prettiest of things to look at, but it's still part of a dark page in the city's history, and that should be - at least partially - preserved (or even better, preserved and included in a very pretty highrise project). Looking forward while not forgetting the past.
