Looked like a wonderful project. Standard design yet bold and outspoken at the same time. The yellow I'd agree would have to be handled carefully if this was to be built but unfortuantely so much for that now .

Maybe it'll get another chance for another development or something else down the road... or once a project like this is cancelled would you say it's gone for good?

I tend to find that statement to be false on many levels. SSC shouldn't just be for yesmen on projects and diversity of opinions on projects is what will make them special. As for City Tech Tower, this is just another one of those proposed buildings that would wind up on the drawing board not being built. At least Ratner didn't have the Kiltgord Auditorium already demolished like he is trying to do with the Atlantic Yds despite that not being u/c either. For the record, DDDB, who opposes the Atlantic Yds complex, did not stop this project, Ratner himself did after having finacial issues, which I will not be surprised if the same thing happens over at the Atlantic Yds. I am not on this message board 24-7, so I am not trolling, philvia, which shows how little my statement is forced on anyone.

im not expecting this place to be full of "yesmen" people are entitle to their own opinions, however, you dont have any positive opinions on anything constructive! i have never once seen you support any development thread in this forum...so why are you here?
i'm certainly not registered at any nimby forums.

Philvia, there are projects I do like and projects I don't like, so I don't have to be in favor of all of them, so put at away that stick you keeping poking me with.

Now that you mention it, I don't think I've ever seen you comment on a project that you do like. However, I have seen you comment countless times on projects that you oppose, which is ok btw. I guess that's why many think your a pessimist?

For the record, what would make you so sure of that? Just asking as I don't follow all the workings and politics of Ratner and other city players.

Sorry this tower's not gonna be built. It would hane been the first supertall in New York City outside of Manhattan.

It would have been pretty cool on the East River. I sure hope Brooklyn gets it's act together and stops being so anti-tall.
