The towers that have light reaching upwards will get built. The rest is from a background image, perhaps indicating future clustering of highrises.

By the way, the same designers of this GIFT project -- ECADI -- were the consultants behind that other proposal, the Golden Triangle City Centre (GTCC) in Gurgaon, NCR, to be topped with four 140-storey towers.

Now that the Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar CBD has finally been realized after months of rumors and talk of 'plans', perhaps the GTCC, reported this August to still be in the works, will soon surface!

Anyway, judging from this perspective:

The 80-storey Diamond Tower will have a pinnacle at 400m, and the twin towers will have a height of 310m:

To put that in perspective, DT will be roughly the equivalent height of Lanco Hills Signature Tower (and thus be in the running for India's tallest) and the twins the height of Mumbai's tallest u/c India Tower (Park Hyatt)

That's incredible news indeed! I only hope it will spur Hyderabad's APIIC Tower and Anantapur's Odyssey Science City -- both who are aiming for the 'India's tallest' record -- to grow even taller!

ECADI to plan and design Gujarat's International Finance City

Mr Yao Wen Lin, board chairman of ECADI, committed "to design GIFT to a standard, that would be superior to one in Shanghai, China". ECADI has planned and designed nearly three-quarters of modern Shanghai.

Looks like Gujarat beat Mumbai to the Shanghai punch!

It's already beaten Mumbai lol as you can make out from the render. Anyway I somewhere read before that Narendra Modi had specially visited China in Shangai and Beijing to see how china's developed, infras and etc. And I also remember that Narendra Modi was keen of having city like Shangai in Gujurat.

BTW will they build all the other buildings in the picture or it is just a borrowed skyline for the sake of the rendering?

In the pics of the banner, the skyline is borrowed. In the renderings, the buildings are there to depict a typical CBD. The surrounding building designs aren't final though.

^I've noticed TOI-AMD always rambling in its articles about Mumbai being run by Gujaratis and that Ahmedabad is now going to beat Mumbai at this and that. The article title bears testimony to it
