I guess it will be 610.75m (or 611m) ,just like Abraj AL-Bait..
hmmm,,does it have a symbolism??!! does the date of the 10th of August 610 A.D ring a bill?

Ibn Hanif went to Madinah, he took beautiful pics. Can you imagine these pics with the giant minarets?

love the concept of the design but the minarets are exaggerated way to much

If you look veeeerrryyy closely at the centre-front of the complex you'll see a small green circle. That's the Green Dome
Wa b3dein trace a line from there and look very carefully you'll find a tiny minaret at the far end. Draw a box and connect all the tiny minarets you find and you'll work out the current Prophet's Mosque. Y3ni da5m!! They're ADDING 1,000,000 m2!

I'm finding this proposal very hard to believe but I love the minarets.

Are there any more references to this design. This particular reference seems like he got the image from somewhere nad is making a guess.

Remember what happen about the Mataf!

It was supposed to start after Hajj last year and the next Hajj season is about to start. Also the fact that Saudi Gazzette spread the wrong news when in fact they were only fixing the ZamZam area. What a mistake that was!

Jazakallahu Khair for all your excellent updates, I'm loving it. Keep it up.

Also the current Mosque looks like there is an additional floor on the roof!!!!

Well no one said that this is the final ''official'' proposal. I'm just posting what I found on the net.

On SSC, all begin with jh1 who posted that render and asking...

I would like to know where jh1 find that rendered pic.

Sure we suppose to wait (with patience) until the official proposal comes from the gov ...and hopely journalists will spread the right news!

But few things correspond with what Sheikh Sudais said in this article: http://www.arabnews.com/saudi-arabia...rea-be-tripled

1- He said the first phase of the expansion would cover construction of multistory buildings within the periphery of the existing northern courtyard

2- There will be a main gate for the new building with two main minarets and two side minarets at the corners of the building.

These 4 points correspond to the render:

- multistory buildings
- northern courtyard
- two main minaret
- two side minarets

inchallah soon we'll be fixed

you're welcome bro : )

Jazakallhu Khair sister Roukaya.

I hope this doesnt lead to a plan to seperate the Original Mosque where the Prophet SAW is buried and then eventually say that this is the burial area of our beloved and this is the new Masjid e Nabawi.

Since we know the opinions of certain people, they might just close the whole of the front section off.

May Allah protect us and keep us all ont the right path.

what? is there a new fatwa?

No I don't think so because they just told us few articles ago that they want to enlarge the Rawdah.

Ameen on your dua

Cool,

No new Fatwa, lol

Just old stories from a certain sect.

Anyways, can get me more details about the expansion of the Rawdah, I must have missed it.
