A building such as this would denfinitely fit in the innercity! Too bad that's never going to happen...

The new height is straight from one of the latest pdfs at sbk.stockholm.se Could be that the 140 number was just rounding off.

IMO the old design was just a little bit tacky. But, like you say, it was more destinctive and landmarkvibey While the new 146 parallelogram isn't the most inventive I still love that it's gonna get built

If anyone has missed to leave your suggestions (in swedish) it can be done here:
http://planer.sbk.stockholm.se/SBKPl...w____3804.aspx

Tell them how great it is and that you wish for it to be higher!

Is there an average time for the approval phase? Generally speaking, for all buildings here in Stockholm.

I actually have high hopes for this one. I think it might happen, but I wont celebrate until construction has actually begun..

I think this one is safe too.. they already got Scandic, hughe hotell company as a tenant. So in the economic perspective i guess it's cool and Kista already have one tall building so its not much of a "UNIQUE" "LINE" to protect. And most people are fond of new highrises in kista, right?

People in the suburbs are usually and generally speaking more relaxed and more open-minded when it comes to new constructions. Many of them feel that they've been crushed by the authorities so they welcome basically all types of incentives, they think "hey, we've got nothing to lose!".

^Most people in the low-to-mid income, concrete 'burbs, yes. people in mid-tohigh income, rowhouse/villa 'burbs... they'll blow up if someone plans a two floor rental building.

The only problem is that many believe we are on the way to an Hotel crisis. Some say we will reach the crisis within a year. So they have to start building it very soon...

Bah! This one, just like Sthlm Waterfront will be unaffected as I see it. The locations are too good. And so what if they won't pay off within 5 years? these are BIG investments, and them not paying off handsomely within 15 years would surprise me alot.

True. I read somewhere the construction time for the Kista hotel will be about 5 years(!)
