[Žilina] Ciss City 42f (144m)

I think this building definitely deserves its own thread since it should be for some time the highest in Slovakia.

This tower should be 144 m tall with 42 floors. It will include offices, hotel, flats, congress center and various other stuff. The developer says he wants to create new downtown in Žilina. More info to come soon.

Ciss City in numbers

• Project consists from 21 buildings.
• The center is 144 m high building with 44 floors with area of 62 269,17 m2.
• 430 parking lost will be undergorund.
• Above groun should be offices, hotel and residential. There would be 378 ofices for 670 employees. Hotle would have 96 double bad rooms, 12 apartments and 2 presindential apartments for 220 guests.
• In residential part would be 16 two room, 16 three room and 4 mesonet flats.

Ciss City v číslach

• Areál pozostáva z 21 objektov.
• Centrom je 144-metrová budova so 44 podlažiami, s plochou 62 269,17 štvorcového metra.
• V podzemí bude 430 parkovacích miest.
• V nadzemnej časti má byť administratívna, hotelová a obytná časť. Administratíva má 378 kancelárií pre 670 pracovníkov. Hotel ponúkne 96 dvojlôžkových izieb, 12 apartmánov a 2 prezidentské apartmány pre 220 hostí.
• V obytnej časti má byť 16 dvojizbových, 16 trojizbových a 4 mezonetové byty.

The tower looks OK, but those surroundings. But, maybe this area will be developed from industry to buisness like in Bratislava:

...I don't like it...not here. I think there is no rational reason to build such a high tower in zilina...

=> it's not sure that the height of this tower will be 144 m. the height will depend on the demand for offices reeeally funny

That building is very ugly! It doesn't deserve the right to be the highest building in our country. And also that part of the city jesus christ it's nearly the end- you can see a forest nearby

It looks well but I'm sure it won't be realized anyway. Such high-rises are usually built in large cities due to lack of space in their centres, not in towns with less than 100;000 inhabitants and enough space to donate.

The design could be better, but whole complex Ciss city is quite realistic. The developer only said it could be lower. Its height depends on demand for the offices in Žilina. We must think about whole region of Považie which is the second richest and developed after Bratislava, however it don't have real center. The biggest cities are Trenčín and Žilina but it's hard to choose between them. Those cities itself are not that big - Trenčín 60 000 and Žilina 85 000, but whole this region is one big aglomeration from Nové Mesto nad Váhom up to Martin and it has more then half million inhabitants.

So, we will see. I like the idea of such high building in Žilina, also because it's not the only one highrise planned in this location. I wouldn't say there is lack of free land in Žilina, but its cost is quite high since KIA investition.

I'm not from Bratislava. But, Žilina certainly won't have more highrises than Bratislava.

Vobec nezavidim Ziline, a chem aby kazde velke mesto ci bohatry region mal svoje vyskove budovy, ktore dosvedcuju o sile a vyzname regionu. Ale ten dizajn je bohuzial hrozny, trosku mi to pripomina jednu budovu co sa chce stavat v Bratislave, ale ta v Blave bude vacsi otras ako toto

inak neviem prečo ale mne sa tá budova celkom páči. Je to taký typický mrakodrap, aj keď pravda, chcelo by to projekt ešte hodne prepracovať.

Len mi to skrátka nezapadne do prostredia, pochybujem že tam niekedy vznikne cluster. A naviac náklady na celý projekt sa mi zdajú hodne nízke, takže kvalita asi nebude nič moc...

Mám obavy že celé to dopadne ako 1. ESO v Lučenci...
