Shenzhen loves boxes too much. It's a nice one anyway, the second render has a sexy cladding.

天地塔
名  称:深圳市南山区商业文化中心区超高层建筑设计

说  明:
项目位于深圳南山商业文化中心区内,背山临海,面向深港西部通道,建成后它将成为市民喜闻乐见、同时又提升城市文化的场所。
天圆地方:基本造型深得当地传统建筑妈租庙与庙塔的精髓。塔楼外轮廓自上而下,由方及园逐渐过渡,
又将功能实用性与传统中国的空间观、宇宙观结合为一体。
由地及天:下部坚实的混凝土连接大地顶层的轻盈材质隐入天空。
顶天立地:288米的建筑高度使新塔楼塑造了新的城市景观的焦点。
天地塔--是天、地、建筑与人的和谐统一。

first design was best, real good cladding (if we trust the render at least)
