McCormick Place is the largest convention centre in the United States, but is it also the largest in the entire world?

^I think it's this one, from page 3. Nearly 5x the size of McCormick Place.

The Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre
In comparing with other convention centers in world, the RAI has a boring design. But origins of the RAI complex can be traced back to 1893.

The Royal Exhibition Building, Melbourne

This World Heritage Site listed http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Heritage_Site building was completed in 1880 for the Melbourne International Exhibition.

It hosted the very first sitting of the newly established Federal Parliament of Australia on May 9 1901.

During the 1956 Melbourne Games it hosted basketball, weightlifing and wrestling.

The building was restored during the 1990's and is still used for conferences, exhibitions and trade fairs.
