Germany has some really large exhibition grounds, like those in Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, and Hanover. Hanover's fairground features 496,000 mē (5.3 million sq ft) of covered indoor space and 58,000 mē (624,306 sq ft) of open-air space within 27 halls and pavilions and a convention centre with 35 function rooms, making it the world's largest exhibition ground.

Apparently, west of Shanghai's Hongqiao Airport and Railway Station, there is a huge new convention and exhibition centre being constructed. Its floor area will be between 400,000 and 5000,000 square metres, making it among the world's largest-convention/exhibition centres. A new business district is being developed nearby.
