For the Olympics, all the metro lines Rio de Janeiro will have during the Olympics are 1, 2, and 4 (not counting 3, which will be in Niteroi)?

Yes, although the five SuperVia lines will be modernized and the several BRT lines will significantly increase organized transportation options in the city by 2016.

Along with the SuperVia modernisation, can the Central do Brasil station be renovated/upgraded for the Games, also?

I believe it will undergo interventions, but it is already a good large station, so no big changes (as far as I know). The biggest changes will take place along the lines themselves and their stations, which are mostly simple and inadequate (no accessibility, no escalators, ugly, etc.) and of course the new modern trains.

I disagree.
Just the suburban rail side of Central do Brasil station (Pedro II station) is really large. The subway platform is tiny and demands interventions.
I don't understand why it is so small, naturally it was the Central station at the time it was being built.

Site of the future Jardim Oceânico Line 4 station, being prepared for construction. Line 4 is expected to open by late 2015.

So it takes 4:45 to get from the entrance to the platform...

not only that, but he STANDS in the moving walkway, and TO THE LEFT I might add. Had he walked faster and walked on the walkway, he'd be there 1 minute sooner.

But indeed some of the new Ipanema/Copacabana stations have excessively long corridors between their accesses and the platform, due to geological-urbanistic constraints.
