This is great news, but I have to say those smaller towers could be better thought out. I just can't see the idea of building two different looking towers where the other one is taller. Therefore I like the old rendering more regardless of the fact, that the smaller towers aren't that high. I would replace the left-hand side tower with the one on the left. Symmetry, design and height is all that matters. The highest towers looks fantastic with it's open space in the middle, though.

love the new design and height

this would be a vast improvement over the older design. the 2 side towers balance out the central tower. Beforehand I thought it looked too massive....

love how each tower looks slightly different.. mixes it up a bit....

truly more elegant

Another super tall? This is extraordinary. I won't get all my hopes up until I start seeing foundations being dug but this is excellent news nonetheless.

The design is so-so, but the hole is reminiscent of something you might expect to find in Hong Kong.

I dont think we have a final render yet. I think the 2 smaller towers may be from an older design. Can anyone confirm?

the old design had not 2 other towers next to the main tower, i think they're part of the new plan

Location

Hey Guys, Does anyone have any pictures of the location of this tower? I would like to see the area where this tower will rise from before any demolition or construction starts. BTW Great looking tower indeed.

This tower will be built on the south side of Wacker Drive by that intersection to nowhere, it's where the uppermost level of Wacker ends going eastbound. That temporary 9-hole golf course is now mostly covered by the rest of the Lakeshore East towers (the Aqua is one of them, under construction right at the lower left corner of the image). That triangular building is the Swissotel. For reference, the Chicago Spire is now under construction where that whitish splotch is in the upper right corner of that image.

The rendering that has the squatter shoulders is the more recent.

Chicago has to be the second most exciting city in the world for a skyscraper nerd to live in right now.

I just can't fugure out where all the money for people purchasing these condos is coming from??

except add a few feet to it. It should be pretty close to Aon's height. And just about half the Spire.
