Is there a way to have it in english?
Humhum... Regarding Baidu I'm not sure they will provide an English version soon. Maybe in 2 or 3 years? :p

But the navigation is very close to the one in google maps so it's not too complicated I guess

Pollution can suddenly disappear during the day as well depending on the winds. When I was last in Beijing, I had the skies clear out by end of day and the air pollution index dropped back to "green" levels from hazardous.

Seeing the pictures posted, Goldin Finance 117 is much higher than the others buildings around it.

God I love the curtain wall cladding on this.

Regarding the isolation of this building (for its height) - I think it actually works here to some degree because the shape of the tower is so simple...as somebody put it, it's like a giant obelisk - and historically speaking, I would find the simplest reference to that shape as a vertical monument sticking out of a large, flat plaza space. Its definitely startling but here I like it.

I do agree that the cityscape around GF isn't exactly organic or interesting but I'm a Westerner with a very limited grasp on just the enormity of China's population, so I view it through that lens. In many ways it seems like typical American suburban sprawl but just on an utterly massive scale and with less restrictive zoning so you end up with 20 copies of the same 30 story tower plunked side-by-side since that is cheaper for a developer.

I'm not sure if I actually like the design of this building. From some angles (distant shots) it looks great but close up i'm not so convinced.

Just had the opportunity to drive around Tianjin the other day. Sadly, there was too much smog to see anything more than a faint outline of the tower in the distance.

Seemed like an obelisk though, there's just nothing around that thing. It's not really that remote, but the city center is far enough away to make it seem so.
