i like the mechanical cladding just once and there, it is quite crazy, if it was on the whole building it would be too much i think

With a a supertall out of nowhere I get some Dubai vibes. Maybe Tianjin can become the Chinese Dubai?

The "normal" cladding looks also good but for me a little to boring or unstructered...
the cladding of the mechanical floors is a nice feature indeed.

This tower resembles to a skinnier Black Tower of Isengard.

I hope this tower will have tenants, not just another ghost tower.

Where did the word "another" come from?
Can you name a completed supertall in China that is a ghost tower? Only in your mind or wish?

I had asked a similar question a few pages before. Not a ghost tower but a megatall surounded by "normal" skyscrapers. I don't know how accurate the render is but i think it shows where the journey may ends...

That doesn't look like a ghost town to me unless those cars are driving themselves.

Most likely their next claim of fact.

I assume this is a serious question so it deserves a serious answer.

The forces of urbanization are causing cities in general and and first tier cities in particular to expand both vertically and horiziontally or outwards and upwards.
The rate of expansion is rapid so building clusters of buildings away from other of clusters of buildings means such developments are spread out over a wider area. In other words additional developments can and will take place around these new clusters. The population should be distributed over a wider area not just concentrated at one spot. Over concentration would mean the need to build MRT networks to carry unprecented amounts of people to and fro ... Eventually such mega cities would spread out joining up with adjoining cities AKA Shen Zhen. There would be clusters of cities around other clusters of cities AKA PRD.

Now of course the perceptions of China don't match the reality of China, the perception of China is a poor, backward country filled up with
illiterate peasants where 90% of them live in the countryside. Images of tall gleaming towers , bullet trains and endless streams of cars challenge that perception .

As a consequence cynics will always be skeptical if there are any people or enough people in cities to fill up such districts of even buildings. It's a state of self denial.

" There is nothing worse in the world than seeing ignorance in action"
