It's highly unlikely that a supertall is going to be built substandard. These projects cost hundreds of millions of $ to build and are exactly built as long term investments.

As for the cheapest stuff around well you certainly have a point about those buildings.

Supertalls are going to be legit though

the tall building codes in China are way tougher than in the West, they're the most over-engineered buildings in the world due to them being in earthquake zones as well as bi-annual typhoon and flood zones too (plus once-a-century megafloods and once-a-century mega typhoons)

Except 4 cranes were already in place, so it must be crane dismantling has begun. On the other hand, it doesn't really seem topped out properly, so who knows?

I agree. These towers are built to last long. Very long.

Maybe they don't need all four cranes any more. And they must get one crane out of the way of construction. At least I hope those are the reasons for dismantling.

if they dismantle the cranes because they expect it to be on hold for an uncertain amount of time, that's a really worrying sign

I agree. Maybe the money has completely run out to finish it?

Hopefully it won't stay like that over the next 12 months or even years.

The top of the towers does not need from four big cranes. They interfere with construction of the top floors.

I'm really curious to see how the crown will end up looking. The building already looks pretty incredible though. I just wish it was 3m taller so it could be counted as a megatall.

And unfortunately it's going to be next big tower (after Ping An Finance Center in Shenzen) without only a very few meters to reach 600 meters or even a little more than 600 m
I really do not understand this
It's like stop running a few meters before finish !
It's even better PR for such a tall tower to have 600 meters height than 597 or 599 m !
I will never accept the heights a little below 600 meters !

Don't be sad my friend
First there are bigger problems than a few meters under 600m. And second you don't see any difference beetween 597m and 600m. Neither you stand in front of it nor from a distance.
So there's no real reason to worry about, we should be happy that buildings in this heights actually beeing build. 10 years before they all were visions...
