Officially not, but construction is clearly halted for quite a while now. Unless there is evidence to the contrary?

It depends if you look the side or the angle. The angle is 1.4 wider than the side

^ Square root 2 to be exact. It's so long, very futuristic.

Has anybody seen the Jewel, or whether or not they will do for sure?

The base is 64x64 m the top is 45x45m. The answer was according the base.

The diamond of the top? Next march or april, when weather is good.

This tower must be one of the thinnest, if not the thinnest tower in the world right now

As far as footprint to height ratio

The cladding has progreeed 5 or 6 levels since the last photo update

The Steinway Tower in New York is more thinner or slender but it is at the early stage of construction

If you take the train from Shanghai to Beijing it will pass right by this tower. It looks absolutely massive, especially because there aren't any other buildings nearly as tall.

Gosh darn this thing's a BEAST. Almost vertigo inspiring. Looks like between finances and the cold the crew took the winter off and everything's frozen. But yeah it's nice to see a square tower of this height for a change. Just imposing.

Lots of progress on the roof though at least since I last checked.
