Good progress is nice, do you suppose those temp looking trailors at the bottom of those last couple pics,(1255 to be exact), is where the workers are housed? I know they don't make near as much as the U.S., hopefully they get free boarding and are allowed to have their families live with them, (but I doubt the latter part.) That gig wouldn't be bad, wages probably suck but to be able to have your family along for the 2-3 yrs of construction would make it much more bearable, nice, and would keep me motivated everyday. You just hear about slave labor, and sometimes I wonder how these fellows go that long without seeing, kid's, wive's, it would be tough to handle if you couldn't, and I feel bad for them, if that were the case.

In my opinion, construction is very slow, as compared with Ping An Center and especially Shanghai Tower

Every tower is slow at this point. Especially megatals and that wasn't exception with the towers you mentioned

Why do the mentioned megatalls start off slow and then so fast in mid-construction?

Because at this point all cranes, pumps, formworks and other equipment is being installed which in future speeds up construction. There is also usually more mess at the ground level in this period which slows deliveries of materials to the top of the tower.

So how many meters or feet are we at? Still under 50 in meters I'm sure. I'd guess 150ft. looks like a dozen or so floors.

towards it tapers inwards a bit towards the top, would love it more if it was a right angle up to the top

yeah racing and comparing is fun. we chose a hobby that is rather slow pasted, to see something unfold we literally have to wait years often, so races make it seem a bit more actionpacked i think

My money's on Ping An,, but hopefully, this 1 can pull a "secretariat" Anybody know if the top will be "The crown Jewel" or the "4 fins?" Or is it still undecided..I LOVE the Jewel look.
