Possibly a legit curiousity from someone not used to seeing so many buildings going up at the same time in the same place. Keep in mind that China's coordinated urbanization is arguably the largest and most aggressive transition of households in human history. Essentially whole cities are being born with housing markets formally directed into new towers rather than simply left to the whim of developer interests or ability.

Perhaps you could simply answer the question.

Wrong. China's real-estate sector is mostly free-market. Development and construction of new places are based on market demand. Few completely new cities are being built; the vast majority of urban expansion is around existing cities.

Here is the answer to your question:

To elaborate, mainly people who are already urbanized and wealthy. Rural to urban migration won't happen in this specific project.

long ways to go until cladding goes up. no floor is finished yet and i do not think cladding will go up before already a lot of floors are already up. probably have to wait until next year.

I agree. They will have to poor some floors first. Installing cladding early in the construction process also increases the risk of damaging a few panels.
Maybe we might spot a mock up sooner though.

Looks like that it's the capital of construction although it isn't. Loads of buildings under construction. I bet that by 2020 it'll look amazing!!!!!!!!

From afar everything looks packed We always knew there will be some midrises in the neighborhood, but it's far from what you normally call urban area. This is the master plan.

Some will say green space is good but I still prefer much more whats happening in other areas of Tianjin like Yujiapu Business District.

Now doesn't it look better?
