This project is absolutely amazing, but does Dubai really need that much office space with all those supertalls going up out there? Or do the sheikhs just have too much money?? (I think the last, though)

it's a very common misunderstanding that new buildings are generally financed by locals, or funded with petrol dollars.

Actuallly gross floor area is 9,647,721 ft² (896,303 m²) !!
It'll have 15,515 parking places in a 5 levels podium!

yes, it seems to be moving at a decent pace now!
the tallest structure is visibly taller than i look a few months back
