I think the project would look better without the huge top...thing. Would look extremely cooler with skybridges instead.

The original plan called for a number of towers (around 6 or 8). Construction began on a few of these.

After some events (unsure exactly what happened, but I am sure someone else knows; it involves a different company), a new design came out. This design is the large building with four legs and one top.

To build it, they first have to take down the shells of the partly-built structures. And that is what they are doing right now: demolishing the structures on the site.
