The sky bridge turns an otherwise sleek group of modern buildings into a massing that is far too bulky. Would look much better without it.

Every tower is 300m high. See under: http://skyscrapercenter.com/list.php...941&search=yes

Whether or not it looks boring will be down to the cladding. If it has good cladding, it will be amazing. If it has awful cladding, it will be an eye sore, especially if it didn't have the bridges. Even if the cladding isn't great, it will still be impressive simply because of how massive it is!

Yes, cladding is indeed very important

Even without the top it would look nice.

And yeah, cladding is probably the most important part of a building's architecture. Bad cladding and you can make a perfectly shaped building ugly.

That very large top floor would get a very high rent price. Also, if a big company needs a lot of space; I'm sure they'd be pleased to get all their offices on a single floor instead of having to be one 3 or 4 different floors.

Commercial space is not the primary function of the complex (or secondary). The bridges between the buildings will be residential penthouss, hotel suites and or restaurants. They are very valuable to be used as office spece, especially on that location

I think he posted that picture to show that cladding on simple monolithic design can make it or brake it. From the renders it's never clear how it will turn out. Hopefully better than on other towers designed by these architects. Thankfully the form is already great

Yeah I know you did but then you asked how can simple design look boring. Well it can with bad cladding which was probably the reason why wespje posted that picture.

Anyway I don't think City of Capitals is an eyesore but I don't like it particularly either. It's form is more chaotic and random than simple and cladding a bit kitch but hey I guess we can have different opinions on that one.
