A sign for pedestrians: "Proceed to other side of street"

In case of works, it is very often to see it in Spain. Just ask pedestrian walk in non-works area and using works area for minimal use (as for reaching homes or so)

Having such signs is very common. The main issue with the Slovak one is that it looks like a sign for car drivers and if you don't understand the language you have no ide whether you may drive on or you shall not.

I was in a small team of people consulting the new proposal of the executing decree on road signs. Our system of traffic signs is incredibly shambolic. The main idea was to reduce the number of signs and to use symbols as frequently as possible, instead of texts to make it clear. Unfortunately the group was moved to different ministry (ministry of interior).

But I did some suggestion. I wrote a mail to the Ministry of interior to propose them to use mobile electronic signs on motorways bilingually (Slovak and English, eventually German or Hungarian). They replied they agreed, but the ministry of transport is in charge of this issue.

Since I have been working at the ministry and I knew that if I had asked my colleagues from the road transport division I would have been talked out (as an employee of the "hostile" rail transport division). Writing the mail in my name would have been the bad idea as well as my colleagues from the road transport division would have asked me why I had not come to discuss it directly. Therefore I had written the mail with the old name of my wife. They have answered it would be taken into account. So let's see.

Bolognia instead of Bologna (near Milan)

Besides the misspelling, why is it left-aligned? Is there something to the right of the "Bolognia," like a route number?

It looks like only the left lane goes to Bologna. The arrow suggests it. But the text was too long to fit on a single lane.

If that's true, that's worse than a misspelling. But where does the other lane go?
Italystf, where exactly is this?

It must be HERE. Both the left and the second lane go to Bologna.

While we're at it...
How do Italians differ between a lane that seperates from the autostrada and a usual exit.

vs.

This marks are so useless - if not counterproductive.

I can't believe it...

Here we are in Mestre:
https://www.google.it/maps/@45.49958...7i13312!8i6656

As you can see there's a road sign that reads RAVENNA 220!!

A couple of kilometres down the road:
https://www.google.it/maps/@45.47799...7i13312!8i6656

we can read the correct distance RAVENNA 138

The Romanian road administration company has installed a few interesting signs on a short section of national road which soon will be doubled by a motorway, except for a 15 km section where there will be no motorway at least for a few years (long story, involves building some tunnels as the Environmental permit has changed etc.). The signs look like this:

I've seen similar signs in a baustelle on Tauernautobahn in Austria, many years ago when tunnels were still single-tubed.

Quite curious Romanian signals.

Do you think they help to decrease accidents? (people will take care for 12 km...)
