Probably in a parking lot where the MUTCD is perpetually ignored.

There is a sale now, so daily parking costs now only 30 kn in Baška, Croatia:

Wonder how much it is when there's no sale...

I have seen a "no hitchhikers" sign near an immigration center in the Netherlands.

It's not fake. I saw it few weeks ago at TV during news. It's in Italy.

There are a handful throughout Virginia, and I think hitchhiking is one of a long list of prohibited things posted at most Interstate onramps. (Those signs are much too small to be read by drivers, but plenty big enough for people who aren't in a car; these no-thumbing signs are big enough that they're mostly telling drivers not to pick them up)

"no hitchhikers" sign should be put on A1 motorway in Romania, between Bucharest and Pitesti. It's the only motorway where I saw people hitching and doing other interesting activities: selling flowers, blackberries and other small fruits + mushrooms, people stopped in the emergency lane just to have a snack on the road-side etc.

My favourite road sign from Romania (DN 1, entering Cluj Napoca from direction Turda):

I think this is the most curvy arrow put on a road sign ever

Yup. The curviest road sign I've seen lately was one for destinations around a split-roundabout in Fairfax County...

Apparently I was wrong. There is indeed a sign like that near Treviso. But it's absolutely illegal, it was put there by the demagogist mayor of the city, who decided to run a crusade against illegal aliens and prostitutes...

Repubblica.it, one of the biggest Italian newspapers, published today a short review of weird road signs:

The big cat has no tail...

The sign is, in fact, a tribute to Gösta Knutsson's novel series "Peter-no-tail", and several versions of the sign are put up in Peter's "Hometown" Uppsala, Sweden.
