I like Belgium too, it feels like a cross between Portugal and the UK.

Northern European but politically fworded. Also the houses look British, but go on for ages along N roads, like ribbons, as in Portugal.

The Italian traffic light, what's the, I've forgotten the word, hmm, situation there?

You're off your head

Belgium is nothing like Portugal or Britain. I know, I've lived there. The architecture is totally different, they have a chaotic political system, hence the language situation. A lot of the roads are crap, but traffic is far more orderly than in Portugal or Italy, but worse than in Britain. Traffic lights are the same as in Holland. Signposting is seeing a slight improvement. Better than Italy, but worse than the neighbouring countries and Portugal.

I like the Belgian signs, or at least the Flemish Region ones. My favorite are the guide signs to Boom

But I keep wondering... shouldn't things like "Ring Antwerpen" really be "Antwerpse Ring" ? Then notice the traffic is stopped... great beer. And still, it is full of both French and Dutch refugees so it must be better

And find yourself on the bottom of a river. That sign was placed before a damaged bridge.
If there's red lights, maybe there's a reason.

That seems kind of useless, when would it turn green? Why not just sign "BRIDGE CLOSED"

Because otherwise it wouldn't end up in a strange signs thread :-)

Reminds me of a sign in my office informing everyone that one of the elevators will be out of service "for approximately 2 months beginning Dec. 9, 2013." Yes, it's still out of service. At some point, someone crossed out the "2" and wrote "3, 4, 5, 6...."

Still better than the ones pointing to shit (literally!), like this one.
