As one of the posters who have been posting here for a long time, I am more than happy to take on the mod duties of the Bristol Forum. It is about time England's forgotten city was rediscovered. So there might not be a great number of posters, but we more than make up for that in quality.

Don't worry, it is just Awayo's outdated misogyny showing through, any man or woman who dares to deviate from his view of how women should behave will get labelled similarly. It is funny for someone like him, considering the number of women - disproportionate to that of similar countries - involved in both the Nationalist and Unionist side of Irish Politics throughout the years, that he would think like this, but while knowledge is a strength of Awayo, logic is not.

One of the things that I have noticed about this site is the strong anti-female element to it, there are far too many "who is the sexiest women type threads" then the same boys (not men) who post in such threads will then whine when they are rejected by a women for not being handsome enough and women are variously labelled as shallow and conceited without even a slither of irony in the post. The thing is this does damage some of the worthy causes of men (increasing male only cancers, ie prostrate, testicular etc and father's rights). I promise that should I get the support of such good people as yourself Helium, the Bristol Subforum will be one of the most welcoming places to both main genders and to any others inbetween gender roles which are not conventional. I will encourage more female posters to our Bristol Forum and its Skybar, but not with the motivations of most men who encourage such posters herem but instead to stop what is an effective barrier to the majority of the human population.

I hope given this I can count on your support for my application to be a mod for our future Bristol/South-West Forum, so that it can be a model for all the other, outdated, chauvinistic forums in the UK Section and elsewhere to follow.

Speaking as an oppressed girlie, I've no problem with Who's the Sexiest Woman? threads. People should find each other sexy. It's the religious/political threads, and threads that're basically just lists, that I can't be doing with. If the Bristol subforum's devoid of religion and politics and full of sex, I can think of at least one woman who'll find herself attracted to it.
