I am sorry that you feel that way, but I think that it is because you are relatively new here that you have got the wrong idea of what I am about, I feel I can be relatively diplomatic, an example of which is making an effort to speak to someone in their own language in order to explain my position on something. I think you have a very one sided view of me, but fortunately I am confident that I have the support of the South Western Forumers, and that along with the very respectable existing mods and Gothicform is what I need, I shall endeavour however to make more of an effort with you to facilitate a better understanding between us, which I hope will act as an example of how to heal the wounds of the Anglo Welsh relationship. Have a good night.

Somehow I don't think the Spanish members of SSC were happy with what you said, regardless of the language it was said in!Really! Could that have anything to do with your past record? We could have an entire catalogue of Lostboy insults and hate-filled comments! How long are you going to be able to keep up the diplomatic charade Lostboy? I think you're gonna crack any minute! Aren't you tempted to make one more anti-Celt thread? Let's face it, you can't stay diplomatic for that long! Give it up, son. |

I recall you calling me the following:
"Dirty Celt" - uh... okay "Druid" - not even one "Pagan" - don't believe in any religion, let alone paganism. As well as plenty of instances of YOU, making derogatory comments about my identity and nationality. I'd assume that such comments if made at a black or asian person from you, would instantaneously be unacceptable, but because it's only nationality, it's perfectly acceptable then? As for a 'misinterpretation of language' I could say: "Mae Lostboy Y cont." / "Lostboy the C*nt." Really, it doesn't matter what language it's in, the effect is exactly the same. So don't beat around the bush and backtrack. My post count is also irrelevant because my ability to read and understand cohesive sentences and paragraphs is not dependent or proportional upon the age of membership in a forum. M.M, is completely right here, and we can both see the back peddling in action. I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt Lostboy, but EVERYTHING you do is motivated by English nationalism. I for one, don't think a person with that ideology is entitled to a position of power on these forums. |

I assume the Bristol and West forum will include Devon and Cornwall-those well known outposts of soaring skyscrapers. Is it not the case Lostboy that you have recently made disparaging remarks about the Cornish, viewing them as the brethren of Welsh, Scottish and Irish Celts? How would you reconcile this with your duty to treat all Western forumers as your equal constituents? This may become a serious issue if the internet ever reaches Cornwall.
I also feel you need to ditch the Sinn Fein avatar for a campaign one. "Lostboy 08" or something to catch the puclic's imagination. |

Lostboy would make a great mod with great ideals,he has my full backing he will do well.Think of all the new forumers who would register to the forum some may know what we dont know about future projects like a 170m scraper plannen for the city.
We all need to work with each other if the forum is to get the go ahead and im sure it will be a great success. Last edited by clarky; February 19th, 2008 at 09:58 PM. |

LOL, I know! I really don't get how he honestly believes these "statements" of 'hate' can be so easily dismissed!

I think he's given up. He's already made a dig at the Serbians on how small their country is these days!
We knew the diplomacy wouldn't last long. Looks like Lostboy's silly little fantasy and grand dreams for the future have come to a shattering end. |

Still no Bristol/West forum? I maintain that it would be beneficial...

What you got to ask yourself is, is there really enough going off in Bristol for it to have its own section on this forum, personally i don't think there is, but i guess they could make a South West section although having said that nothing much happens in the South West either when it comes to developments etc but am sure we could get away with having a section nevertheless.

Check out the Bristol thread, there is LOADS going on. Bristol is a similar sized urban area to Leeds, and the largest urban area in its region.

I would say there has been many issues to discuss previously and it continues to be so. We've had just the one sole thread throughout the following:
- Cabot Circus development (2008) - Colston Hall redevelopment (2010) - Bristol Airport expansion issue (ongoing) - Ashton Gate redevelopment issue (ongoing) - Memorial Ground/New UWE stadium issue (ongoing) - Science Park @ Emerson's Green - Enterprise Zone @ Temple Quay - Ongoing transport issues - Southmead Hospital project and other hospital projects - Urban projects such as: Finzels Reach, Redcliffe, General Hospital, South Bristol, etc, etc. Judging from the activity, the thread could soon be rendered a bit difficult to digest/respond to. Bristol is a unique city, the region's and one of the UK's economic hubs. Much is happening there and it really needs a forum.

I would def support a forum for old Brizzle. It's a cracking city & shares many similarities with Leeds. Bring it on!
