well, looks like the office tower slatted for 257 Clarence st will happen. currently occupied by French Alliance @ 257 Clarence Street/
14st/53m
i like the design. very seidler.
should be final seidler design for sydney. theres 1 more unit block planned for Brighton le sands and thats it for harryS

Won't his firm continue to design though? I would imagine that Harry would have has only minor influence in his final few designs...

yes, firm is still going but this was last DA he was in charge of. he was very active in his office up until last few months.

I can't say i have ever been a fan of this one. I can imagine that many of those working with seidler have an affinity to his work and will continue the legacy, I just hope they can be a progressive and come up with some more revolutionary ideas that work with the strict bauhaus aesthetic.

This to my mind is a perfect example of an intergrated multi-use city building with solid purposeful design, nothing blatantly corporate but still identifiable as a substantial commercial building in reguards to its location.

Seidler's ethos carried through.
