The eleveted railway track is that of Circular Rail/Eastern Rail. EMUs run on this track. It is considered a white elephant as only two empty trains run daily. The brains that sit in Eastern Railways leave much to be desired.

I have seen some media reports. I doubt they have the competence or the funds. However let Metro complete the Tolly-Garia section first.

Cannot the useless Indian Railways use a sleeker train instead of these dabbas? And why cannot they run more than two trains a day. The whole management should be fined from their salaries and pensions and fired.

There are many such lakes in and around New Town and Bidhan Nagar. Hopefully they will not be sneakily filled up by real estate pressures.
