There are 350 mosques in London, and counting. This will be the biggest mosque in Europe if it ever gets built. Currently the local nimbys are up in arms over it and its future looks uncertain:

Regents Park Mosque:

London Jamme Masjid
This building was originally built by French Huguenot refugees 300 years ago and was converted into a synagogue, then into a Methodist Chapel, and now into a mosque. In this part of town you still see mosques right next door to synagogues.

East London Mosque and London Muslim Centre (with juice bars, restaurants and shops at the bottom)

That's the one in Mid-Levels. I always pass that one when I take the escalator up to Robinson Rd.

Yes, last time I checked Midlevels is on Hong Kong Island. Would think a broader reference would be more fitting for an international audience who may not be aware of the local districts.
