Why don't we EVER get snow in NYC?

I hate this damn rain. It's annoying.

What's with this weak ass winter we've got going on over here?

I want SNOW, damnit!

I fucking hate snow. Always have, ever since I was a kid

man I remember say 10 yrs ago I bought some air max's, red and black ones...we used to call them spider mans (thats another story) but god damn it snowed unexpectedly and the salt destroyed my kicks

Like Mantle said..slush means ehhh

Snow is nice when your inside and all but not outside, and rain is great...especially if your inside with your girl

This winter has been really weak. I'm still using sweaters because it's not really freezing outside. I also hate slush, especially when it's all dirty and it gets into my nice comfty old shoes and gets my socks all wet. dang...

I love snow as long as I'm behind a window, in my house. The moment I get out it's snow rage! Good thing we didn't get more than an inch of it so far... in Bucharest I mean.

Isn't snow meant for mountain tops where you can go because you really want it and put on skiis and go wooshing downhill and go weeeeeeee! then drive home without chains or slush to the normal dry world ? Maybe because we dont get snow in our cities.(Australia)..except maybe down in Hobart, Tasmania in extreme circumstances I cant understand how US and European Cities can operate when it snows ? Isn't it cold ?

What are you talking about? It just snowed about a week ago. Where you here when that happened? The rest of you lucky that you don't have driveways especially b/c most of you guys live in apartments or townhouses in NYC, while I had to spend about two hours shoveling it, and that hurt my back causing me to take breaks just to rest the pain. BTW, it does snow around here on a yearly basis, so yes we do get snow around NYC every winter.

What do you think, Sherlock?
Really now... I can't imagine how it is to live without snow, even though, as I said, I only enjoy it as long as I'm indoors.

^ Oh, it snowed, for like 10 minutes. How quaint

I'm sick of quaint, Sex in the City bullshit snow. I want real "HOLY SHIT it's 3 feet deep!" kind of snow. The kind of snow that bears down on you and forces you to respect nature, and makes those whiny Angeleno transplants start crying like the world is going to end.

The point is it does snow here on a yearly basis. Sometimes a little and sometimes a lot, but it does snow. Believe me, NYC doesn't have the weather that is in Miami, Las Vegas, or even LA, which is warm all the time. It does snow here, but if you want snow all the time, then go to either the North or South Poles.

You guys think it doesnt snow up in New York? How about Baltimore?!We've only gotten like 3.5 inches this year while you guys have probably gotten more than that.I always get jealous when i hear that New York and Boston get all snow when we down here always get rain.Same thing always happens,Baltimore all rain,Philadelphia is where the rain/snow line is, and New York City and Boston get all snow. Its kind of annoying if you ask me. The thread title should be changed from "Why don't we EVER get snow in NYC" to "Why don't we EVER get snow in BALTIMORE".You New Yorkers just have to be greatful/thankful that you guys get more snow than us while down here we beg for snow instead of rain. Its pouring down raining right now and if we got as much rain as we did snow, than we would be like Buffalo right now.
