although i think Northeast is not considered as an official name for a region.. NY and MD would be classified as the Mid-Atlantic States.. north of that is usually called as the New England States..

I did see an inch of snow as of last night, but it melted as the sun came up.

GRR!!!!The Saturday snowstorm is staying to the south of us.Kind of ironic that the southeast is getting more snow than we are and their air mass is warmer!!That's not fair. The Southeast is going to get more snow than we are this year if this keeps up!

yeah, kinda disappointing.. i thought that above-average-december-snow is a great start for us here in the NE, turns out, snow(major accumulation) will be staying away from us 'til mid next week..

I hope the snow stays away!

The best winter was 2001-2002, I remember it cause of the tragedy, it was unusually warm that winter.

Global warming!

nothing to do with global warming... over the history places experienced colder than usual winters and hotter than usual winters. nothing new about it. there were always heavy rains and droughts u know

^ Screw that.

That's one of the reasons I could never live in the Sunbelt. I love seasons and I love cold winters. Atlanta, Houston, and LA can have their boring 70 degree winters

The whole southwest is having their piece of cold winter too this month.. with a couple of minor snowstorms and very cold conditions this past week..

i agree tho, 70 degrees in the winter is indeed boring..

because it's winter here in NY.. and so far we've only seen a couple of inches of snow.. heck, we've never ever seen a major nor'easter this year.. most schools haven't used up a lot of their snow days, and then spring is just around the corner...

Agreed.I've actually heard on the news that Baltimore and Washington are above Philly this year when its coming to snowfall. If anybody needs snow, its Philly. They've been dodging the bullet a lot lately.

I've lived in Washington DC and Nashville, TN, both far south of NYC, and I've seen far more snow in each of those places than here.

Even last year we got something. This BLOWS so badly. This winter can go fuck itself, I'm so mad..

IMO.. the southeast dont need snow... they need f...... rain, just plain old rain.. northeast should be the one getting snow..

i'm no snowboarder or skiier but goin' out in the snow (in winter) is the best way for everybody to spend time away from work and school..
