I think there is still one part of the spire missing.

Finally topped out. They had trouble to instal the last part of the spire, it is done now. Just saw it live from my window.

I was wondering though what the purpose or a spire is on that kind of building. They have Canton Tower for broadcasting, so I don't understand the use of the one on the Pinnacle. Esthetic reason only, or for articifial height increase?

Yes, and Leatop Plaza misses 1000 feet by only 7. But if we go for +300-meters-towers, we even get 5 of them in Guangzhou now:

1. Guangzhou IFC .......... 439 m / 1439 ft / 103 fl / 2010
2. CITIC Plaza ............... 390 m / 1280 ft / 80 fl / 1996
3. The Pinnacle .............. 360 m / 1181 ft / 60 fl / 2012
4. Pearl River Tower ....... 310 m / 1016 ft / 71 fl / 2011
5. Leatop Plaza ............. 303 m / 993 ft / 64 fl / 2011
(data from CTBUH)

... plus the +600 m Guangzhou TV Tower for bonus.

Btw. I like how The Pinnacle adds a different style to the glass towers around. Looks like right from the 90's, but in a good way.

I can´t help myself, but Pearl River tower seems to me taller than pinnacle at most of the pictures above
