I was afraid, this building could be kitsch, but I'm loving the real thing.

The vertical lines, setbacks and spire have very clear art deco influences. Would it be correcto to say that The Pinnacle is a Post/Neo-Art Deco building?

Looks like something you would find in Chongqing. The same colored cladding and similar shape

Love that cladding. A rare example of classic post-modern in China.

Indeed. What a beauty. For me easily the best skyscraper of Guangzhou and also one of chinas best. Can't wait to see it fully finished

Beautiful building....such great variety of styles in this part of Guangzhou. I wonder if this will have a special lighting scheme at night.

Finally something different than all the global glasstowers. Imo this is the best skyscraper of Guangzhou, even one of the best in China. Hopefully more classical skyscrapers will follow.

Yes I'll drink to that . We need less glass (and especially less BLUE glass) and more old fashioned cladding. But I think that the IFS or IFC tower is this city's best.

i have nothing agains glass cladding if not every tower has the same look. it shold be a mix of different colours and types of cladding. and goungzhou has e very good mix. that makes a skyline more interesting.
