NEW YORK | 855 6th Ave | 146m | 479ft | 42 fl | Com

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Previously:

A 47-story, mixed-use tower is planned by Atlantic Realty Development on the southeast corner of the Avenue of the Americas and 32nd Street overlooking Greeley and Herald Squares.

The project is as-of-right, that is, it needs no zoning approvals.

It is close to another large project at 855 Avenue of the Americas that when completed in 2010 will have more than 240,000 square feet of retail space on several levels and Mr. Fox told CityRealty.com today that both projects are significant additions not only to the enormous retail presence at Herald Square anchored by Macy's but also to the impressive redevelopment of the city's former flower district on the Avenue of the Americas above 23rd Street with residential towers with large retail bases.

A look at the three new towers that are nearly side by side:

Nice. 3 800ft+ towers so close by, that is good. The design of each tower is good as well

Those are the addresses of each. That is probably what he thought? Besides they all look no taller than 600'.

Opps Yeah that's what I thought. I thought that those were the heights. But now that I look at the renderings carefully I see that 855 is about the same height as the Epic which is 615ft so yeah. Still 3 good looking building

Mostly old building. I don't think any are more than 10 floors.

885 and 893 look awesome, i'm 50/50 on 855, this street must have been rezoned for tall residential, or was it.....?

Well I don't remember the exact location (either 893 or 855's site), but there are some stores that have already closed down, I'd imagine that it's to make way for demolition.

IMO none are really interesting. They're not that old. I'd say something from 40-50's. I mean that's off the top of my head I can't really remember every building in the area, but I could take a few pics of the area tomorrow if I can.

855- A lot of demo has been done. Just that building is left and some of the floors have been gutted already.

885-Demo is about to start as you all can see, one building already has scaffolding up and all the stores that were in these buildings have moved out.

Building that 885 is next to in the rendering.

The Epic recently completed

614' will be taller than Sky House but shorter than the Epic.
