Whats you favorite bus line or train in seattle? Slow or fast ones, crowded, ontime, late, during winter time or year round, your opinions please?

Just in Seattle or national/international?
In Seattle, I think the most scenic is Sounder's north line, but it's really slow and takes awhile to get from Seattle to Everett.

Tough one for me. I like the entire 2 route. I also like the 10/12. I rarely ride the 56, but the views from the WSB and high up on Admiral Way melt my heart. I like the 7 for language variety. I've gotten used to the tardiness of the 7. It's charming when three buses show up at the same time. Variety!

I like the 2. It's just a nice short ride from my place to downtown and it runs every couple of minutes.

Probably the Route 2 when I used to live up in Madrona. Very scenic ride. Same with the Route 27.
My current favorite bus is the Route 594 simply because it has those sweet MCI coaches..ah, seats that recline, lights go off on the freeway, nice tinted windows... spoiled at 65mph =) As for Rail, Sounder Seattle to Tacoma - If anybody hasn't been on that route during the Spring, it is one of the cheapest most beautiful and scenic rides you'll ever experience, especially if you get a sunset trip (say mid Feb) There is nothing like being along the coast for 95% of the routing and seeing the smooth water as you glide along. Most people are too entranced to talk because of it. |
