havnt seen any shipping threads on here,so here goes.
ive got quite a lot of slides and pics and will put more up when ive scanned them.If anybody else has got any ship pics feel free

You'll find pics of Mersey Liners on here ken http://www.mersey-gateway.org/server...=SearchResults

You can upload these Images ken and show them on here as long as you mention who own's the copyright,which is usually stated at the bottom of each piccie.

In fact you'll find almost anything you want in Liverpool Images..just put the name of a Street/Road in the search box and if it is in the archives it will come up.

That Lyria is a belter, I love seeing cruise liners in the Mersey but real big Container ships are just as welcome.

Yes Ged , we were using this site to follow "tug movements" when the Cruise Liner pontoons were being fixed to the Dolphins.

Kenny, great thread and yes its amazing that we have never had a "River Mersey" thread,( I don`t think?) the nearest we got was a "Merseyferries" thread. they say great minds think alike

well last night I was shuffling my pics into some sort of order , and bingo ended up with a file called....River Mersey.............

My favorites, the "mini-coopers" of the river.......

I notice ken you took the Sanko Paragon and Lyria pics from almost the same spec..any reason why ?..was it the same day ?

To be honest Ged ,i can hardly remember taking them ,at least 10 years ago mate,the lyria pic ,it was brass monkeys,winter.ive never seen two tankers come off tranmere at the same time.pics where taken south of woodside ,you get more elavation or height from that spec.once the tugs have pointed them north up river,youve got all the time in the world to bang away and get some pics

Hello.

My old man did 30 years service in the merchant navy for Esso, and spent a great deal of his time on 3 "Mersey Class" boats - Mersey, Clyde, and Severn, which were built at Cammell Laird of Birkenhead during the 1970s
