The Liverpool bridge/Mv Derbyshire never visited the port of Liverpool,but there are lots of connections to this city.

Terrific pics Kenny, thanks alot.
I took this vid a couple of days ago of the Sand Swan entering Langton Lock. Starts off a bit shaky (as per!). There's also one of the ACL ships hanging around outside Seaforth.

Like it, what sort of boat is the Sand Swan? it seems to be very low down in the water.

It's a dredger Phil. Looks like it was returning full of silt judging by the way it was sitting in the water. I first spotted it in the Mersey near Fort Perch Rock, so it may have been working in the Dee.

Cheers Busta, really nice pic Tom, well in.On the subject of the sand swan,doesnt it dredge sand from the mersey ,clean it up ,then sell it to builders merchants and the like,think i watched a programme about it , years ago like ?

Anyone know why the ACL ships have such large superstructures? Do they take vehicles as well as containers?
