There are many museums inside Intramuros. Aside from Casa Manila, the other museums are...
1. San Agustin Museum right next to the famous stone church 2. Rizal Shrine in Fort Santiago 3. Bahay Tsinoy, a museum of Chinese life in the Philippines on Anda corner Cabildo Streets 4. Puerta De Isabel II Gallery at the Palacio del Gobernador Building 5. The Archdiocesian Museum of Manila on Arzobispo Street

love all the photographs. back in 2002, when i'm bored i hang out in malate's plaza rajah sulayman and baywalk at night. i'm not so sure about the iconic street lamps but the plaza's fountain is already up and baywalk almost completed. no party people noise reaches the place but there are people around (can you ever be literally alone outdoors in manila), mostly hobos and old people, not that noisy at all. sometimes speakers around blurt out folk music and sometimes some i'm not to fond of. it's fun hearing the fountain noise and people loving how the waters and lights dance.
the only other place close to this would be lawton which i think got this fountain thingy earlier. used to hang out in carriedo fountain in front of santa x church and ongpin entrance. but jeeps are noisy and area so small it gets crowded every time. plus people always warn me about escolta's rep. not true at all, at least during that time. but since every corner in manila is irritatingly noisy now, learning how to ignore detestable road noises and being able to filter them while your mate is talking is a valuable talent i have acquired. |
