Amicos. I've been there few days ago. I was schoked by the water! When you are there, it seems to be in a swimming pool.

200. The Ampollino lake was artificially created in 1926 to feed the hydroelectric power plant of Orchiella, though it's hard to tell it was man-made: just look at the lush greenery around the shores. Many would be surprised to learn that it can be found on the Sila range, Calabria, and not in the classic alpine scenary of northern Italy, where most of the Italian hydro power plants find home.

204.Mount Viso & Po river (Piedmont)
Po is the longest italian river (652 Km/405 miles), it rises in the Coattian Alps, Monte Viso, Pian del Re and flows eastward across northern italy into adriatic sea.
Monte Viso (3841 mt.),colloquially known as Monviso is famous because of its pyramid-like shape and since it surmounts all its neighbouring peaks at least about 500m can be seen from far away.
In the past for this reason was erroneously thought the highest peak in the italian alps.
