Wow, it puts the neighbouring block groundscraper to shame, £1.35-4.95m for a slice. To think only a few years ago whole warehouses were going for 60k around there. I will not be surprised after a few years the windows will be replaced with cheap white plastic pvc.

Yes because people who are prepared to pay upwards of 7 figures for a Rogers designed flat is going to swap high quality windows for cheap upvc

are you a robot? But I do see people coming out of Tate Moderns turbine Hall entrance and looking up at these now people are living in them, taking photos and discussing intently at the surroundings.

Doubt anyone will be bothered to do that at the Prince Charles inspired Chelsea Barracks

Newbie-novice question: Do any of you 'regular-posting-folk' ever check the roofs of these places, or do you forever stand at ground level craning your necks?

thanks
Matt

Well, considering you're a newbie - why not search around the forum? I think you'll be able to find the answer for yourself.

well the idea is to take photos of the building rather than the view from the building. It would be nice but access is usually impossible. Do you live in NEO bankside?

First time i've actually gone and looked at what this has replaced. The area really did look drab before this development...

They look very nice from the millennium bridge - great backdrop to the Tate Modern and work well with the lovely yellow cylindrical building (can't remember the name). It's a very interesting corner of london architecturally, only going to get better with the Tate modern extension.

FAQ: The red things on The Shard are the blind boxes. The blinds themselves are grey.

The Shard's observation deck opens in Feb 2013: http://the-shard.com/the-view-from-the-shard

Yes the top is finished and will remain open to the elements. The exterior is (pretty much) complete.

Photos of the building is understandable, but you're all missing out.
It is nice. It's not. No.

No talk of tresspass on SSC please.

People related to projects visit this forum, and when they see such talk they get pissed off.
