Finally Chengdu approved its first supertall: International Commerce Center. Officially '280-300m', we'll see. SHK , Henderson Land and The Wharf are all involved in this project.

SHENZHEN | World Finance Center (Proposed): 370m, 93 floors. Designed by Aube Architecture, this project is proposed for B105-31 plot in Futian CBD. Thread

Final version. 311m, 68 floors.

Thanks for supporting

SHENYANG | Shenyang Eton Center (Proposed): 400m, 300m. This project will be developed by Eton Holdings and built next to Hang Lung twins in Shenhe district. There are two known contestants: NBBJ and John Portman.

DALIAN | Dalian Eton Center (Under construction): 388m, 81 floors; 300m+, 62floors. This is the highest building of a complex composed by 5 skyscrapers. The project is being developed by Eton Holdings and designed by NBBJ architects. Thread

Though I normally avoid posting random forum rumours, I personally find this one quite feasible given how insistent they are at skyscrapers.cn these days.

Seems like the outcome for both monster projects by Eton Group in Liaoning province will be released anytime soon. In both cases, it is expected that these projects will be larger than previously expected, that is, 400m+ each.

They say Dalian's main tower is very likely to be 445m, 88 floors, second tower slightly below 300m though. Official info expected to be released very soon as they have erected cranes in the huge pit, meaning that foundation works for the two big towers have started.

SUZHOU | West Lake CBD Supertalls (Concept proposal): 4x300m+ . The official height planning in this area has 4 plots reserved for 300m+ towers.

Supertall in Suzhou. 330m~, 70~ floors. Designed by Gensler. Would be built at Suzhou East Lake CBD. Still no official release.

I guess it would be built on any of the 4 plots scheduled to host a 300m~ tower.

See plot map here: http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...3bcaIgY19R.jpg

personal egoism for the developer or national pride, but do the city really deserve the supertall?the danger of over building that destroyed japanese economy in the early 90's and the over building that lead to the wll street meltdown ,should have ring a bell.

Is it really wise to have so many supertalls in China when they are so prone to earthquakes??? Just my opinion...

Skyscrapers are safer thanks to higher construction standars and safety measures anyway.

@Joel que, Suzhou is a huge city, 11 supertalls within 2020~ isn't that special.
