Final. 350m, 69 floors (355m according to some sources)

I've found a proposal from 2006 at the same website. Qingdao Haitian Hotel, 338.8m. I can't find news about this, so it's probably just a stale proposal. I wont include it in the lists.

I like the final design for it being the first super tall of Wuhan, otherwise the former design looks better for its uniqueness.

CHONGQING | Lanko International Mansion | 330m, 72 floors. Under construction – Rising. Developer: Lanko Group. This skyscraper has been revised upwards for several times since it was started in 1998. During these revisions, it remained on hold for several long periods. Finally, in 2007 the project was purchased by Lanko Group and the final design was released. Construction was resumed in late 2008. Project thread.
Finally some decent renders

TIANJIN | Tianjin TEDA Towers | 358m, 80 floors. Approved. Architect: Atkins. Planned in Binhai New Area, this weird design by Atkins is the result of a competition for a landmark project to be located in TEDA. The rejected designs were presented by SOM, Portman, SBA and Nikken Sekkei. Construction is scheduled to be started in 2009. Project thread.
In September they announced that this tower would be revised upwards to 455m. They had the ground breaking ceremony today. Final height: 530m and 96 floors. But they changed the whole design too. No info about the architect and no good rencers yet, sorry. Developer: Chow Tai Fook Group. Name: Chow Tai Fook Binhai Center.

I'll try to find decent renders later.

TIANJIN | Xiaobailou Union Plaza | 300m, 73 floors. Approved. Architect: RSP Architects. Approved in 2008, construction start hasn’t been announced. Project thread.
Possible new design. 488m, 108~ floors.
Designed by César Pelli studio
http://www.pcparch.com/#/projects/of...1/description/

The design of this 1,600 foot tall tower was shaped by the city’s recent history. As an important port in Northern China, the city was strongly affected by western influences in the last 150 years. This contributed to the great diversity in the culture and high level of sophistication only a few port cities in China shared.

The tower subtly illustrates the confluence and interrelationships between these various influences. Starting at the hexagonal base, this beautiful form has a strong directional twist. To counteract the arbitrary direction two towers twisted in opposite directions. The result shows exceptional beauty and grace. The 12 sweeping arcs intersect at 3 points along the height of the tower

FUZHOU | Fuzhou Shimao International Center | 300m, 57 floors. Under construction – Ground works. Developer: Shimao Group. Fuzhou’s tallest was approved in June 2008 as the last phase of Shimao’s large masterplan in town. Ground works started immediately, whether the actual construction has started is unknown due to the lack of updates. Project thread.
Shimao did it again. Announcing a supertall and then building a much shorter tower. Terrible liars, third time already (after Shenyang and Shaoxing). 273m, 56 floors.

Run Hua Global Center in Changzhou. 300m, 67 floors. According to all the press releases it has 288m only, so we better wait for some official announcement. Ground breaking ceremony took place a few months ago.

SUZHOU | The Wharf Supertower | 508m~, 110 floors. Approved. Architect: Wilkinson Eyre. Developer: The Wharf Holdings. This landmark project will be located at the core of Suzhou East Lake new CBD. Though the official height is at 460m, diagrams make clear that the height of the spire is around 508m. Completion date is scheduled for 2013. Wilkinson Eyre’s project may be just one of the proposals though, as it is not confirmed to be the final design. Project thread.
Proposal by César Pelli, 100 floors, unknown height, found by Clashman.

This 100-story, 3 million square foot office, residence and hotel tower integrates exemplary technology in structural design, energy conservation and curtain wall design expressed as a graceful and timeless iconic form.

The forms were derived from a variety of local sources. The tower profile with a gentle bulge at the lower portion is an abstraction of the organic forms pervasive in the country’s famous gardens. The plans have eight articulated facets that allude to the petal arrangement of many flowers, but are distorted in response to the dimensional limitations of the site. This deformation, similar to the accommodations of organisms in response to the environment, is also a lesson learned from nature. The design references both the delicate texture of plants in the gardens as well as the elaborate screens decorating private pavilions. An intricate screen, designed for the high performance curtain wall, will further reduce solar heat gain.

More about Bashang Jie masterplan in Hefei. Finally some good renders, around 85 and 75 floors. I can't believe they arent reaching 300m, let's wait for the ground breaking ceremony, at least the tallest tower MUST be above 300m!.

The architect is Woods Bagot, they are using the first render as the background pic in in their website, but they still haven't added it to the project list, so no info at all in their website.

Preliminary annoucements claimed that the masterplan would have 4x55 floor residential towers and 2x68 floor mixed use towers.

Profile at the website of the developer:
http://www.gloriousphl.com.cn/en/pro...ail.asp?id=spr

Hefei Bashangjie
An Overall Ecotype Shopping and Living Center

Land area: 118,929.04 sq.m.
Construction area: 1,263,730 sq.m.

Woods Bagot, from an International Architectural Consultancy, was invited to participate in the design of the project. According to the planning of our Company, upon completion of the project, it will be a landmark building community at municipal level and comprehensive commercial center, themed by ecology, nature, health, integrating a 5-star hotel, first-class office building, service apartments and large commercial shopping center. This project is located in the center of Hefei City, with Mingguang Road to the east, Wuhu Road to the south, Chuzhou Road to the west, East Changjiang Road to the north, and the foundation is naturally divided into two parts (one in the south, the other in the north) by the East Changjiang Avenue.

The project is located at the junction of LRT No.1 and No.2, bordered by the Nanfei River landscape to the south, very close to Gujing Holiday Inn and Commercial Pedestrian Street on Huaihe Road, with Hefei Wanda Plaza across the river, and has good commercial amenities and cultural atmosphere, as well as superior natural environment.
