So many years of supertall construction and Taipei 101 is still the tallest in the Chinese region. I think 600-700m towers should suffice China, I would much prefer two 400m towers than one 800m tower. Its too tall and won't blend in nice with the 200-300m towers.

Zorg, an excellent list! So many supertall projects...
Do you have any more information on the Shanghai World Trade Centre 550m+? Is there a thread for it on here?

Thanks for your huge contribution Zorg.
I saw you say the Baietan District project has few chances to be build, but I read last week from official news papers that the Tower was confirmed and named Diamond Mansion 钻石大厦. The news said also that it will be Guangzhou's tallest structure surpassing Canton Tower's 600m.

Thanks for the info! Honestly, most comments in my lists are outdated. I barely write comments anymore.

No thread. Shanghai WTC is an official proposal for Putuo/Changning districts, where Shanghai will grow a new CBD in the coming 10-20 years. We don't even have images.

SUZHOU | Suzhou Twin Towers | 2x400m+. Concept proposal. Twin tower project proposed at West Lake CBD. Official plot planning shows that the height will be above 400m. Hang Lung is known to be bidding for one of the plots, and the actual height is expected to top 500m. Greenland is suspected to be bidding for the other.
Well, well. This one will be out very soon it seems. Each tower will be developed by a different company: Hang Lung and Greenland, both very powerful and reliable. Expected heights: 500m+ and 450m+. The twin project is now called Century Plaza.

This screenshot comes from a recent official video.

We should open a thread for each one as soon as they release some official render...
