We have these ones. Tunnels and viaducts has been finished, construction of trackside was not even launched.

Whole project kicked off upon Vienna Award as Hungary annexed parts of southern Slovakia and some of important railway tracks were discontinued. The construction of new tracks started as soon as possible. Whole terrain was modified, constructions were build, but before placing the trackside itself, the war ended, Vienna Award was withdrawn and the project remained no more important.

The bridge structure also doesn't look very familiar in Europe. The thin bridge deck suggests it may not be a road bridge.
Found the band/album on Wikipedia and then followed a link from there to Allmusic.

Some from Sydney:

Sydney Harbour Bridge soon after it opened in 1932.

1947

1976

The Warringah Expressway (now the M1) soon after opening in 1968. Harbour Bridge and Opera House (under construction) can be seen in the background.

Western Distributor, 1983

Western Freeway (now M4) bridge crossing of the Nepean River in 1971. The bridge was duplicated in 1986.

Here you can download a colour PDF version of the 1939 Spanish Road Design Manual: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B60...50aFdWeUE/view

More or less halfway the document begin the illustrations (road signs and others). Some examples:

It seems that the usage of a hyphen in the road number goes back quite a long time. Most of the European road numbering systems do not use a hyphen between the prefix and the number (mainly because it stretches out the number shield).

A possible reason for the usage of the hyphen can be that the main roads were numbered with Roman numerals as far back as 1926 (see https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circui...mes_Especiales), even though they didn't get a prefix until 1939.

So, N-I, N-II, N-III, N-IV, N-V and N-VI might be less confusing or better-looking than NI, NII, NIII, NIV, NV and NVI.

Hmm, this picture confuses me.

I thought West Germany didn't recognise the Inner-German border as such? So why is it mentioned as "Grenzuebergang"?
