Christ, one prick leaves and another returns. Actually have you been suffering an identity crisis Boards?

Celtic Park cost considerably more than Ibrox over the years. Always amazing that since 1995 Glasgow has had more structural engineers (in blue) than the remainder of Europe put together.

Dressing rooms and press areas have been revamped and trust me-if any ground out-with Hampden is used for a European final in Scotland it'll be Celtic Park.

Enjoy the Rugby sevens- assuming the ground ain't waterlogged!

I think you'll both find that you're a pair of fannies.

Now shut the fuck up about this Celtic and Rangers pish.

Boards, I know you've made up with wiggles now and so are probably a bit bored but toe the line eh, same for the rest of you (minus the bit about wiggles).

Dear oh dear this does seem to have caused quite a stir....... can't think why when you all claim, to be here having an interest in architecture..............

I understand detailed news should be released by the club very soon, which should clear things up.

dont think your part in this little drama has gone unnoticed ...pal.

Its pathetic, the teams can sign up to all the anti-bigotry schemes Holyrood can come up with but neither side will EVER be able to mention, let alone discuss the other. This is 2008, get a grip of yourselves.

Its a no brainier celtic fans will rubbish and be jealous of Rangers great plans its just human nature it would be the exact same if it was the other way round. Celtic park as it is just now is a cheep as chips stadium but you must applaud Mr McCann for such a good quick fix and loads a big stadiums around europe are crap. £280 million dose seem a bit cheep for such a stadium if you look at the dallas cowboys knewone that will only be 10 000 more seats.

Is the new developmeent at ibrox not on a par money wise with Renfrew riverside?

Like I said before, I would love it this happen, I am just a bit doubtful because Rangers don’t have £400 million. Am I not allowed to question where Rangers are getting this money from?

Rangers haven’t stated they even know where it’s coming from.

You can accuse Celtic fans off being jealous etc, but I easily say you are looking at this development trough blue tinted glasses.

Do you know were Rangers are getting at least £400 million from?

The day this was “leaked” to the press a Rangers fan called in a football phone-in saying Eithad Airways are the company buying the naming rights to the new Ibrox, for a start he couldn’t even pronounce there name right, secondly I suspect he came up with their name as they have their name plastered around Stamford Bridge, thirdly, its total bullshite.

Just to clarified, I am 100% for this development, I am not jealous or bitter, I am just very sceptical about Rangers and this sum up money.

Excuse me Amigo, why do you state Celtic park is a "cheep as chips stadium " could you please explain why CP is, & Ibrox isnay ?

I cant see any difference, apart from the Ibrox frontage & Celtic park is 20% larger i dont see much difference between the stadiums.

As far as i can see the 3 stands & infills at the corners at ibrox are built with the same materials as Celtic park.
Are you wearing blue tinted glasses ?

I am sure Mr McCann is on record as saying this is he not? Also did it not cost something like 30 million for the 3 new sides of celtic park? Also a director who is in the construction industry had a falling out with the board who approved the spec due to it being so cheap and would be so costly to maintain after 25 to 30 years it will be cheaper to re-build? Also if you have been to celtic park you will relies its built for maximum value and the main stand is held up by support beams between games to help support the roof and removed/ hinged up into the roof when games are being played. Also due to its poor construction dose it not have to safety inspections a year instead of one like Ibrox and Hampden?

I am not slagging celtic I am applauding Fergus McCann on a great job. As celtic could very well be dead today with out his leadership and vision. So stop being a paranoid Tim LOL.

I believe celtic will probably be able to afford a new stadium coimpletely if they keep turning fifteen million profit for the next 20 years!

Rebuilding both Ibrox and Parkhead and seeling Hapden and Murrayfiled should be the way sport in this country heads!

For fucks sake,

can we all agree that a £700m redevelopment of Ibrox would be a good thing for Glasgow?

can we also agree that the figures seem a bit adventurous for Rangers, or almost any club for that matter, in the present financial climate and wait for further details.

We are talking about massive new developments, the build quality of Celtic Park, Uefa 5 star acreditation and we can't even get fucking Scottish Cup games played due to pitch conditions, I think we have forgotten why the stadiums are built in the first place.

I'm a Dons fan, and despite being ritually abused at both Celtic Park and Ibrox, they are both WAY better stadiums to watch a game of fitba at than Hampden.
Way better.

As to this nonsense about Ibrox, I got bored halfway down that article. The guy makes some fair points about the finane being pie in the sky, but really, does that surprise anyone? £700million. Come on.
However, he does undermine his own position with bollocks like " the main stand is listed, that's why they're talking about redevelopment, not a move", as a comparison to the case of Arsenal.
Um, does he not realise that Highbury was/is also listed? Guess not.

At the end of the day, if any project goes ahead that helps regenerate Govan, it's a good thing, yes?
So let's hope something happens.

Celtic Park's not half bad considering it appears to have been built almost entirely of Mecano!

Totally.
For all the slagging CP gets, I'd be over the moon if my team had a stadium like that (and the fans to fill it of course).
