Lebanon - one photo a day
Since other countries are doing this, Lebanon deserves to have a similar thread. This thread will be updated on a daily basis and will include photos from various parts of Lebanon.
Here's the first photo: ![]() Bcharre is a village located in North Lebanon, 1400 meters high from the sea level, at the top of the Holy Valley of Qadisha. It is the hometown of the mystic poet, painter and philosopher, Gibran Khalil Gibran Last edited by LeB.Fr; January 8th, 2008 at 05:56 PM. |

![]() Tyre, known as Sour, is the fourth largest city of Lebanon. It was an island in ages past, celebrated for its beauty. It is located 83 km south of Beirut. It was the capital of Ancient Phoenicia. The Roman levels of Tyre are of such importance that every effort has been made to preserve them. To determine the exact location of eariler Phoenician and Canaanite levels soundings are being made throughout the excavated areas. Roman Tyre thus has been preserved for present and future generations to see and to admire. |
