it will dominate it for quite a while, the nearest other supertall is only ping an, nothing else is proposed and to the south it borders to the river and behind the river is hong kong terretory which will not get build on either.

Amazing feat of construction, but I am not so keen on the design... What is the purpose of the slender base and wider upper floors? If it is purely for aesthetically reasons then fair enough, but it's very subjective. For me, it seems like causing enormous engineering challenges for very little real benefit... In any case, it is a decent building to have in this city. - G
