Day 14 - Viborg
image hosted on flickr ![]() picture by poulwernerdam from Flickr.com Viborg is one of the oldest towns in Denmark, with Viking settlements dating back to the 8th century. Due to its central location, the town had great strategic importance, in political and religious matters, during the Middle Ages. A motte-and-bailey type castle was once located in the town. Viborg takes its name from a combination of two words: Wii (Nintendo Wii ), meaning a holy place, and berg, meaning a hill.

Day 15 - Vordingborg
image hosted on flickr ![]() picture by culdefeu from Flickr.com Møns Klint is an impressive landmark and tourist attraction along the eastern coast of the Danish island of Møn in the Baltic Sea. The bright chalk cliffs stretch some 6 km from the park of Liselund in the north to the lighthouse in the south. Some of the cliffs fall a sheer 120 m to the sea below. The area around Møns Klint consists of woodlands, pastures, ponds and steep hills, including Aborrebjerg which, with a height of 143 m, is one of the highest points in Denmark. The cliffs and adjacent park are now protected as a nature reserve. Møns Klint is popular with tourists from across Europe with hundreds of thousands of visitors a year. There are clearly marked paths for walkers, riders and cyclists. The path along the cliff tops provides impressive views and leads to steps down to the shore in several locationsion of two words: Wii (Nintendo Wii ), meaning a holy place, and berg, meaning a hill.

Amazing! It's a bit like the white cliffs of Dover and Great britain, isn't it?

Day 16 - Frederiksberg
image hosted on flickr ![]() picture by Jacob Bøtter from Flickr.com Frederiksberg is located as an enclave within the municipality of Copenhagen. The municipality was originally situated west of Copenhagen, but after a number of smaller municipalities were merged with Copenhagen in 1901, it became completely surrounded by Copenhagen. The pictures shows Frederiksberg Castle which is located in Frederiksberg Garden just next to the Copenhagen Zoo. |

Sure? I've seen several windy places with the same directed wind all year round. This gradually bends all the threes in the wind direction. It looks quite weird.. http://www.patagonia-biking.com/phot...-bike-tour.jpg

Don't think it's extreme windy there or anything like that since it's a bit away from the coast. Maybe some storm gave it that shape

Ok. Who knows..
Just reminded me of the Jæren area on the western coast (sand beaches, windy - and vegetation embossed by the weater )
