This arena looks great. I'm sure it will be a great football venue.

I'll ask the obvious question, how can half the pitch be moved when underneath all that sand and soil? Wont it make a terrible mess everywhere?

Does anyone think the basketball/tennis configuration will be used much?

Basket/tennis are in discussions . All depends on federations. They came to see the project and they were very impressed!

A possible davis cup could be there next year or later.

The half pitch and management of grass will be a true challenge. And frankly i really don't know if they'll succeed with this choice of 100% natural.
A hybrid solution would has been better. let's see in next months.

Honnestly i wait the first match in august with hungry and september the match Vs the PSG because the stadium even in the visitors part will be full.

Just as I predicted. Looks so much more "in-scale" with seats mounted

It'll look great when the red from the Lille fans colours it up a bit I reckon.

Just hope they can actually fill it.

The stadium would have looked better without that solid wall behind the upper tier.

I agree, based on the photographs I can't help but think if they had placed transparent panels there or something it would make the upper tier especially not look quite so shrouded in darkness. It will definitely help with acoustics however.

But who knows, I believe in waiting for the finished article before completely judging a stadia so maybe things will work out once it's finished.

Love this stadium. What is the steepness of each tier?
