We used to go to Sherkston Beach all the time (the quarry too) It is a great beach with the dunes and all. I remember that sunken barge too. It has been there forever. It was a source of great fascination for us kids. I love how you can drive on the beach to (oh so Daytona)
Too bad it costs like a year's salary to get in there these days.

And any day in the past 6 months has been? Who needs a primetime thriller when you can watch your 401(k) instead!!
The events leading up to and into today have convinced me that this is the year to finally buy a house, however.

I ended up getting my house in Birmingham for $118k (not bad for 3,265 square feet) with a mortgage rate below 5% (employee discount).
So yes, now is the time. I close on the 31st. Want to buy my house in Buffalo? I'll put the flocked wallpaper back in. |

I'm thinking somewhere in the Milestrip-Berg-Lake Blasdell to Orchard Park corridor. Inner ring and equidistant to downtown and major shopping centers, stone's throw from the grocery store (though it's pretty difficult to live here and not be). That and I can remain a southtowner (best kinda towner there is). Living in a suburb and walking to work. ![]() Doesn't that violate some fundamental law of physics?

That does not compute. Does not compute.

Turbulence is God's flatulence. He must've had Mexican last night.

But in lame ways... if they were witty or clever, then well, yes, but in this case, no.

I hate downstate as much as the next guy...but that was about 4 astronomical units over the line.
So Sacramento is downstate, eh? I knew you were south of here, but I thought it was about 10 states over. Guess I can go to bed, that's my "new thing learned" for the day already!

That airport looks like what every day this week has been like in my area of Southern Ontario, snow everywhere, and COLD!
